WHAT IS FINE PARTICLE SHOT PEENING
Many people are familiar with the term "Shot Peening". As you are probably assuming, F.P.S.P. is similar as it pertains to the type of processing, however, the shot utilized in F.P.S.P. on a much smaller scale than conventional Shot Peening media.

Surface texture is a key to unlocking higher performance. A popular secondary operation to Accelerated Surface Finishing / micro polishing can be micro peening.
Micro peening can be confused with standard bead blasting or a glass bead finish quite easily if you are looking at the visuals only. Glass bead produces a beautiful satin finish, however, can lack the necessary requirements to modify the mechanical properties of the substrate you are blasting.
A true micro peened surface will have a uniform dimpled appearance due to true elastically deformed surface material
